I just got back from 9 days in Hawaii.  It was amazing!  Tricia and I were attending the wedding of some friends and turned it into a vacation. I was in a shark cage, snorkeled in Hanauma bay, Surfed on Waikiki, Scuba'd in Maunalua Bay, hiked to the top of Diamondhead crater and hiked though a tropical rainforest to 100 foot Manoa Falls‎.

As for the business side of things.  I finally finished my Levitra Spoof Commercial.  You can see it at Levitra You Tube Video

7.29.2008
A few updates since my last one.  I'm directing a play for the Strawberry Festival One-Act Play festival, its called At the Everetts. We had our first performance last night and will have our second tonight.  If we are voted the best play of the evening, then we will move on to perform on Thursday.  Kind of exciting.  The Playwright is Peter Paulino.  The cast is George Raboni, Linda Blackstock and Sarah Mindlin.

Also, Sunday was a very sad as I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change played its 5001st and final performance. I originally went into that show in 1999 and have been in an out of that show for the last 9 years.  It is truly the end of an era.  I never imagined it would close.

There is this very cool pod cast site called PodCastGo.Com.  But in particular, you should check out Tricia Brouk on the Dance Channel.  She has a show called Groove is in the Heart.  She is an amazingly talented choreographer and her podcast episodes are informative and fun, check them out.

I've setup a new look and feel for my site.  It's been so long since I've updated the information here, that I thought I would redo it all.

But for the business... I'm standing by for I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change.  I'm in a Pre-Broadway reading of Metropolis in January 21st.  The Students from Parkway School for the Performing Arts in Ft. Lauderdale are coming to NYC in January and I'll be teaching a class for them.  That's always fun.

There has as bazillion things since my last news post.  Directed an amazing show Tricia Brouk: Dining Alone.  Did a few readings of new musicals, plays and movies.  Filmed an Episode of Law & Order: SVU.

Until the next update.

December 8, 2006

What has been going on since November of last year? So, very much. But here are some of the highlights. My parents celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary. So, my parents, my two sisters, their husbands, their six kids and me (that's right 13 of us) traveled to Spain and went on a Mediterranean cruise to Italy and France.

On the professional side, I did a new musical Drift. It was a great experience and a wonderful show. I got to play a very angry, complex guy named Mike. Who also liked to curse when he sang! The Cast and Creators included: Craig Pospisil (book), Jeremy Schonfeld (lyrics & music), Jeremy Dobrish (Director), Tricia Brouk (Choreographer), Christian Campbell (David), Jarrod Emick (Peter), Tari Kelly (Laura), Dennis Holland (Ethan), Ric Ryder (Thomas), Michael Turner (Justin), Karla Mosley (Nicki), Indy Tanner (Maddie)

Now, I'm back standing by for I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change. I'll be there till the end of February. If you end up swinging by, you might just see me on stage. If you find yourself watching Law & Order SVU on February 20th, you'll see me discovering a dead body. That's right, I said DISCOVERING a body. I don't die in the episode… I don't even bleed! It's a huge advancement in my career. Next time I do a Law & Order, I'll get to kill somebody! That's all for right now.

November 21, 2005

It has been crazy... To fill you in on the last month, Hurricane Wilma hit Florida two days after we opened.  There was no power for a week.  We spent the time engaged in prayer and self exploration. LOL. OK, we really spent the week drunk.  Once the power came on we went on with the show.  The most memorable moment.  We lost power again while we were performing and finished the show with stage management holding flashlights from the front row.  After all of that, we ended the run a week early because Ft. Lauderdale, where we were supposed to play the last week, didn't get power.

But lucky me, because we were back early, I was able to do the reading of Dorian Gray at the York Theatre, which went great.  We also did a backers audition here in NYC for Passin' It On.  So I've been very busy.  Now the holidays are here.  More news as I get it.

October 22, 2005

It's Opening Day and I can be a kid once more!  That's a line from Passin' It On and we open tonight.  It's been great.  Hope to see you all there!  I'll write more after we open.

September 22, 2005

To Quote a scene from I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change... I'm Busy, Busy, Busy.  Dorian Gray, went great.  Today I did a table read of a new musical called "Buddy's Tavern".  It's based on a movie called Two Family House.  Such a great story. Hopefully, it was helpful for them.  And continuing my extensive work on new musicals... I am also doing a reading of a new musical called ACE for the National Alliance for Musical Theatre.

I'm leaving for Miami for Passin' It On the beginning of October and I'll be there till November 13th.

But the big new is, I'm testing for my Yellow Belt in Tae Kwon Do on Saturday.  I do my yellow belt pattern and I have to break a board with my foot!  Wooo hooo.  I'll let you know how it goes.

August 29, 2005

I'm always amazed when I find out people actually read this shit.  I had a few different people say, "I went to your site and you haven't updated it in a while."  So, its nice to know that my mom isn't the only one who reads this.

A lot has gone on since April... I'll try to keep it short.  Big ticket items: Had my 20 year High School Reunion... I know what you're thinking... 20 years?? How is that possible?  Well, I graduated when I was 12 :-)  But honestly, I didn't have the best High School experience.  Being in Drama, Band, Choir... That's the triple crown of nerd-dom.  But at the reunion, I had more fun that night than I did in 4 years of high school.  I hope it's not another 20 years before we do that again.

I'm also in rehearsal for an "Enhanced Reading" for the NY Musical Theatre Festival.  I'm not quite sure what an enhanced reading is... I think its like a regular staged reading that has implants.  It's an adaptation of the Picture of Dorian Gray.  I think its going to be great.

Then end of next month I go down to the Coconut Grove Theatre in Miami to do a full production of Passin' It On.  I'm excited because the kids that I teach down in Ft. Lauderdale will be able to see the show.

Last but not least... I started taking Tae Kwon Do.  It is AWESOME.  I have pain in muscles that I never new I had.  The only thing is that I think I'm the oldest white belt in the history of this school.  I feel like Kramer from Seinfeld when he's studying Karate.  The only other white belts is 12 or 13 years old.  But, I can kick his ass!

Till next time.

November 6, 2004

Caroline's is close approaching on the 15th.  I've had quite a few people ask to see my stand-up video, but here's the problem.  If you see the video than you won't laugh when you come to see the show.  Or even worse you won't come to the show at all.  So, I came up with a solution.  I found a way for you to see a quick clip of my show without spoiling the jokes.  It's from the Laugh Lounge.  It was a benefit for My Sisters Place attended by some fellow workers at Clifford Chance.  It's a windows media file and its about a meg.  If you are on a Mac, I don't think it works.   Click here

October 29, 2004

My busy days have passed.  Yesterday, I did my software presentation, two readings of a musical and a comedy benefit.  All went great.  So, for all of you who showed up, I thank you!

October 25, 2004

OK, today, I auditioned for a new musical called "Under the Bridge" written by Kathy Lee Gifford and she was there!  Anyway, thought you might all find that amusing.  And when I was leaving, she said...

Thank you Kathy Lee :)

October 17, 2004

When it rains it pours...

First of all.. The date of the Caroline's show has been change to November 15th.  All the other info is the same.   Caroline's rented out the club for $50,000.  I guess my friends showing up and paying $4 covers doesn't cut it.

I did a reading of a great new show called "Dance with Me" about Lucille Ball & Desi Arnez.  It went well, so hopefully it will take off for them.

I also just got cast in another reading... Its called "Passin' it on."  It's starring Len Cariou, so that should be really cool.  The readings are on October 28th & 29th.

Speaking of October 28th, my day goes like this... 9am I'm doing a presentation of a software program I wrote called DocTrax.  It's a document tracking software program.  If you work for a company with a Word Processing center, take a look at the website at http://www.doctrax.net.  Then at 1:30pm & 5:30pm I do a presentation of "Passin' it On".  Then at 8:00pm & 10:00pm I'm doing a comedy benefit presented by Clifford Chance US LLP, the law firm I work at the Laugh Lounge.  So it will be a looooonnnnnngggg day for me.

Busy, busy, busy.

August 17, 2004

I have two more standup nights, Thursday & Monday.  I’ve been trying to get a Monday Night so that all my Broadway friends can finally make it!  So, now there are no excuses.  You know you are.  They two nights are Thursday, August 19th @ 7pm & Monday, August 23rd @ 9pm.  Drop me an email and let me know if you can make it so I have an idea of how many people are coming.  I have to guarantee a certain number of people otherwise, no show for Joe.  And  when you show up… and I know you will, let them know you’re there to see me.  Hope you can make it.

August 11, 2004

So, my laptop is overheating and I can't use it.  So, I had to install my web on my other computer so I could update.  I was getting a lot of crap from Mr. Ed Mazarros at Parkway Middle School in Florida... So, here are some updates you guys!  I met with  this week as he was on a trip to New York City and signed a contract to go back there and teach again this year.  So, that will be amazing.  I loved teaching there last year (big cheer from all the students as Mr. M reads this to them, plus a few groans from kids who were upset that I didn't know anyone famous).

Stand up has been going well.  Thank you to everyone who has been showing up and spending the $10 and drink more than their two drink minimum.  But most of all thanks for laughing.  I will be trying to get into some other clubs in the near future.  Since I'm doing standup quite a bit now, I guess its time I put a link on this site.  I'll work on that.

I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change... just so everyone knows, its like the mafia.  You do it once and they keep pulling you back!  I've got some shows scheduled, so everyone who would like to see it... I'm on for Man #1 Friday August 13 @ 8pm, Saturday August 14th @ 8pm, Wednesday August 25th @ 2:30pm, and Sunday August 29th @ 3:00 pm.

My friend Lori Hammel is making a movie "The Pink Dress" that she wrote, is producing and starring in.  I'm being brought on to do a little coaching.  I'm very excited about that.

And finally, I had new headshots taken.  Look for those soon as well.

I guess I had more to report than I thought.  That about covers it for now.

June 4, 2004

OK, so I guess Carolines wasn't a fluke... I did the New York Comedy Club last night and it went really well.  Small crowd, less people who were my friends and I still got some good laughs.  I think I may have to put a page on here that lists my upcoming comedy gigs.  Keep an eye open for it!

Thank you to everyone who showed up for me.  I really appreciate it that you came to 24th St. and Second Avenue.

May 23, 2004

First of all thank you for everyone who came to Carolines to see my stand-up comedy.  I think it went pretty well.  People were laughing and unlike when I was playing Tony in West Side Story in High School and I did the dream section at the dance at the gym and people were laughing.  This time I didn't have two big footprints on my ass!

Also, thank you for all the calls I got from my little Law & Order appearance.   Most comments I got were...  "You were so sweet and when you got shot I felt bad.  But then when I found out what a dog you were... you deserved it."

I put a copy of that online, for those of you who missed it and have a free minute and 15 seconds, you can take a look.  You'll also see that I put another video online called Stage Fright.  It's a movie I wrote and directed for Project Greenlight.  It didn't get accepted, but I'm very proud of it.  It stars Todd Gross & Jim Walton.  So take a peek and drop me a note.

May 17, 2004

Well I did it... I actually got up and did my comedy... It went pretty well I think.  I got some laughs... I didn't explode.  So all and all I think I did pretty well.  I have to give a thanks to everyone who came and saw the show.  It really helps when you are doing comedy to have 20 some odd people who really want you to do well sitting in the audience laughing.  So thank you.

And a special thank you to VIcki Van Tassel who convinced me to take the class in the first place.  Thank you for supporting me and believing in me!  This is beginning to sound like an academy award acceptance speech!  Anyway, I did it.

And, for the people who didn't get to see it, look for it to be online here.

May 2, 2004

I'm back from the I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change Tour.  The temperature ranged from 105 degrees in Southern California to 40 degrees with snow outside of Denver Colorado.  But fun was had by all.   The cast was Malina LInkas (Woman  1), Amy White (Woman 2), Chip Phillips (Man 2) & I played Man 1.  Kim Steiner (Piano), Brendan Fay (Stage Manager), Shawn Cahill (Wardrobe) & Joe Payne (Sound).

So, I didn't advance to the next round for the DGA Assistant Director Training Program.  I've got so much stuff going on right now, its probably better that I can finish all the other projects I've started.

Reminder:  I'll be making my stand up comedy debut at Caroline's Comedy Club on May 17th.  Click here for information.

April 22, 2004

I finished filming my Law & Order Episode.  Wednesday, I filmed the scene where I fight with my girlfriend in the hallway of a hotel in my boxers.  The scene was nicknamed the "Boxer Rebellion" by the crew.  Anyway, the tentative air date is May 19th.  So watch for it.  If the date changes I'll let you know.

Also, my buddy Todd Gross is on an episode of Third Watch and that airs May 7th.  So make sure you watch him.

My friend Vicki Van Tassel just got back from Montreal where she filmed a Sony commercial with Steven Tyler from Aerosmith.  I will air during the final friends episode.

Tomorrow, I leave for the west coast for some I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change performances.  Click  I Love You, You're Perfect tour Schedule to find out when and where we'll be.

April 19, 2004

So, talk about being busy.  The phrase when it rains it pours definitely applies to my life right now.  I'm filming an episode of Law & Order today and Wednesday.  I play John Byrnes.  Make sure you watch from the beginning, because I get shot in the first 3 pages!  They spend the episode trying to find my killer.  I'm also starting to spot some trends in my career... Baywatch Hawaii (surfing victim), Law and Order (shot dead).  Saturday Night Fever (tight spandex), I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change (Show opens I'm in my underwear & t-shirt), Law & Order (chasing a girl down the hall in just my boxers).  I guess my first nude scene must be just around the corner.

I leave on Friday for about a week and a half to go to the west coast for some more, I Love You, You're Perfect, Now change tour dates.  When I get back my Stand-up debut is at Caroline's on May 17th.

And, through all of this, I'm writing a software program.  I need a vacation soon!

Stay tuned for more...

March 29, 2004

Well, thank you for everyone who wished me good luck for the Project Greenlight... unfortunately, my film wasn't selected.  There were about 1,800 films and they selected 250.  Well, on to the next long shot thing... I had my phase II interview for the DGA Assistant Director Program.  That started with 350.  We took a test and took the top 75.  They interview the 75 and choose about 17 to interview again.  So, I'm waiting to see if I go to the next interview.

I'm also taking a stand-up comedy class.  Talk about scary!  But its fun.  I'll let you know when the show will be.

But my biggest news is that I just came back from the Parkway Middle School for the Arts in Florida and had a great time.  I worked with 6th, 7th and 8th graders on monologs and acting a song.  Hopefully, I'll get to go back down and do it again.  I've been promised pictures.  When I get them I'll put them on the site.

March 20, 2004

Where is Joe? Why hasn't there been an update for almost a year?  Good question.  I wish I had a good answer.  I've been crazy with other stuff.  I've been writing a lot.  Directing.  Teaching.  Plus, I lost my whole web setup on my computer so, I wasn't able to update.  But, I have it back now and I'll update some more.

I've been subbing in the New York Company of I Love You, You're Perfect, as well as, some tour dates.  We have some more dates coming up so I'll be putting that in the ILY section.   Sunday, I go to Florida to teach acting for a week at the Parkway Middle School for the Arts.  I'm very excited about that.  I also have a three minute film entered into the Director's Competition of Project Greenlight.  So, wish me luck.

August 5, 2003

What a day yesterday.  I had my rehearsal for I Love You, You're Perfect to review the first of two roles I'm standing by for.  I haven't performed Man #1 in about 3 years.  Well, not only did I rehearse, I actually went on last night.  I had a blast.  The show went great.  We had a great house, a great cast, a great crew... just great all around.  So, we'll see if I'm on again tonight.   My work on Stepford Wives is done.  That was also a lot of fun.  I'll let you all know when it comes out.

July 26, 2003

Its been so long since I've written news here.  I've been working the Stepford Wives movie this past week.  I've been having a blast.  It's starring Nicole Kidman and Matthew Broderick.  I kept meaning to update my site and get the info out, but just have been busy.  I Love you, You're Perfect, Now Change has taken the summer off.  It's supposed to start up again in the fall.  We'll see what happens.  Also, I'll be standing by for the New York company of ILY for most of the month of August.  Watch here to see if I'm going to be on.  Well, that's all for now.

March 20, 2003

Tomorrow, I going to be performing at the Scranton Cultural Arts Center.  Now this may not seem like a big deal, but my Mom was born and raised in Scranton.  Did I mention that she's the youngest of 8?  Did I mention that I have busloads of relatives that all live in and around Scranton?  Did I mention that they are ALL coming to see the show? Well, she is, I do and they are!  I'm very excited.  A lot of these people have never seen me perform.  For some of them, the last time they saw me perform was when I was about 8 singing "Jeremiah was a Bullfrog" at family weddings.   I hope they all have a good time.

March 13, 2003

The I Love You... tour keeps on going.  I'm leaving this morning to go to Florida.  I'm very excited because while I'm down there getting sun it will be snowing here in NYC.  Also, because I'll be visiting my friends Jeff & Alyson.  Yeah!

Also, anyone who signed my guestbook while I was in Norwel, MA, I'm sorry but there was a problem with that site and it got deleted.  I read the entries, but didn't get all the email addresses so I could write back.  Thanks for signing the guest book.

January 13, 2003

I'm in rehearsals for I Love You... Well, I don't know if I'd actually call them rehearsals.  More of a try and remember all you can from when you did the show two years ago.  Surprisingly, it's coming back.  I had one rehearsal last week, then I went to Lowell, Mass, where the show was performing, to watch and meet the cast.  They are great.  It will be a lot of fun.   So, Saturday, I'll be singing and dancing in Camden, NJ.  That's where I'll do my first show.  So, if any of you see it.  Please be kind :) and have fun.

Oh, I almost forgot.  I have some footage on the video page.  Go ahead and have a peek.  It's much better if you have speed internet.

January 2, 2003

What an amazing year it's been.  Doing Fever for most of the year.  Getting Married.  Buying an apartment.  Just wild.  Well, you may have noticed the I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change Icon on the main menu.  Well, I'm going to be doing a tour of it.  The dates are somewhat limited, but I might be coming back to a fever city and you can see me perform without the spandex and wig.

I also have put an audio clip from the show on the site, so give it a listen.

October 2, 2002

What happened to Joe?  Did he fall off the face of the earth?  Well, no actually.  Tara and I have been busy having multiple celebrations for our wedding.  We're also in the process of buying an apartment.  Very stressful.  And with all of that, there are auditions, class and Monday I did a reading of a new play called "ON HOLD" written by Michael Levesque.  Scott Schwartz directed it and the two other actors were Douglas Sills and Frances Sternhagen.  The were all so wonderful.  Also, I may be doing a reading of a new musical for Mitch Samu, who was our 1st keyboard on the tour.

Other news... While I was on the road, Regina Ahlgren and I wrote a screenplay and it has been getting some good reviews from everyone who reads it.  I'll keep you up to date on that news.

July 4, 2002

Happy 4th of July.  It is a sweltering 90 degrees already in New York City and its still early here.  It's supposed to get up to 97 today.  Yikes.  Well, the tour is done.  I can't believe that it's been a year and four months since the Fever started.  What a great time I had performing wild "Monty" for all of you.  Thank you to everyone who sent me emails and signed my guest book.  I really appreciate your kind words of encouragement.  It really does make a difference to hear that you had a good time at the show.  Thank you so much for that.  Now, its back to auditioning.  Back to class.  Back to my lovely Tara.  As soon, as I have any news, I'll let you know.

June 10, 2002

I'm on the plane going from Nashville to D.C.  It was great playing Nashville, some of the best audiences we've had.   Hopefully, D.C. can live up to them.   Having people laughing and cheering every night definitely made the show easier to do.

I've been working on a screenplay with a friend from the show, we've finished our first draft and hope to having a reading of it while we are in D.C. just to get a sense of where we are at.  Look for details here later.

May 21, 2002

Getting down to the wire.  Hard to believe that it's been over a year and a half of work on this show.  I know that doesn't compare to some of our cast who have been doing it since the beginning of Broadway, but it's been a long time to be away from home.  Now I'm trying to line up my next job.  I'm going to be meeting with the people form I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change.  I'm hoping to go back into that show when I get off tour.  I let you know if that's happening.

April 29, 2002

I'm on the bus right now on my way from Louisville to St. Louis.  Although I didn't win the $40 million powerball lottery, I still had a good time.  The dressers were a lot of fun in Louisville.  They taught me how to play a dice game called Left, Center, Right.  So, I taught them how to play a game called 31.  I also left with some of the casino's money, but we're off to St. Louis where there are more riverboats, so I'm sure I'll be giving it back to Misouri.

April 16, 2002

Taxes are done and we're on to Memphis.  Right now, I'm on a plane from New York to Memphis because I had to go home for an audition.  Gotta try to line up the next job, the Fever wont last forever.

Philly was very exciting however.  Had a lot of family and friends come to see the show.  Tara, her mom Liz and Jim Walton Showed up at the forest.  My parents came to see it again, although Tara still holds the record for the most Fever viewings.  She's up to seven times.  If that isn't love I don't know what is.  My cousins Maureen, Jennifer & Rena stopped by.  My sister Vera, Steve (her husband) and the three kids Hannah, Julian & Maya were there dancing up a storm.  My Godmother/cousin Micki and Nick brought some friends by for a little disco.  Florence stopped by with some gal pals for a Monty viewing.  So it was a constant parade of people.  Thank you to all of you for coming to the show.  It means so much when you get to share what you do with people you love.

Also, I know that the voting site for the proposal story is not working.  Please keep trying.  Thanks.

April 2, 2002

Here we are in Philadelphia, quite a wild time.  The lighting towers at this theatre are so far towards the center of the stage, that you can't see me when I sing "Disco Inferno".  So what I get to do is get off my platform and move closer to center.  Very exciting!!!! Lots of other changes as well.

Also, those of you who have been here before know that I recently got engaged.  Well, there is a proposal story contest and I've entered my proposal to Tara.  So, go read it and if you like it, you can vote for it as your favorite.  Click Here.  The site is awesome.  I found them when I read the book, "How to buy a diamond".  Its a must read for anyone who is thinking of buying a diamond.

March 26, 2002

After six amazingly warm and sunny weeks in Florida.  Now we're in Pittsburgh.  Not so warm.  Not so sunny.  But, I'm happy because my beloved Tara is with me.  So, that makes the coldest weather seem warm.  I know, corny...but true.  We've had a couple of new cast additions.  Ashley Hull has joined our company.  She'll be replacing Laurie.  Matt Wall, a former Fever Broadway member has rejoined the cast while Chris Gelfi is recovering from an injury.  Also, Regina Ahlgren will be coming back to the fever after backpacking all over South America to cover some people who are leaving.  Shane Jacobsen, recently missed his first show, after over 350 shows straight, to audition for the Steppenwolf school in Chicago.  I'm sure he'll be accepted.  I think that's all for now.

February 15, 2002

A lot of news to report.  First and most importantly.  I'm am engaged.  I proposed to my lovely girlfriend Tara on Saturday February 2nd and she accepted.  I am the luckiest man alive.  I love her very much.  Also, I will be staying with the tour until it closes in July.  Have to pay for the big rock of an engagement ring. So, I'll be adding cities to the schedule.  Right now we are in Florida and as a cast we are so sick.  A lot of people have missed shows.  I have bronchitis, which about 10 people have right now, and I have been coughing like a fiend.  So hopefully, that will pass soon so I can enjoy Florida.  Tara is here with me for this week and next enjoying the Florida sunshine.  While we are in West Palm we are staying with friends of ours that we met on vacation, Jeff & Alyson.  They are awesome and so sweet for letting us stay with them while we are here in West Palm.  Later today, I go to talk with Alyson's Fourth Graders (She's a teacher) about being an actor.  One of the coolest part of my job, is being able to talk to kids about what I do.  Until next time.

January 11, 2002

Changes are among us.  We are starting to have a lot of cast changes now.  A good friend of mine, David Kreppel,  who was our associate conductor left last month to orchestrate a new musical at the Signature in Virginia, The Gospel According to Fishman.  I'm sure it will be great.  We also lost Martyn Axe our wonderful Musical Director who has been with with show for about four years.  Since Broadway and before.  We will miss him.  Kelsey Halbert has taken over the podium and is doing a great job.  We continue to brave the cold up here in Green Bay, but our sights are set on Florida.  Warm weather here we come.

December 29, 2001

It's been a long time since my last update.  A lot of changes are going on with the show.  We're making a lot of cuts.  Scenery, Costumes, Wigs, Cast & Crew.  I have no idea how it will effect the show, but I'm staying till March so, we'll see.  I just took a vacation with my beautiful girlfriend.  It was amazing. We went to Sandals in St. Lucia and had the most romantic, amazing 10 days.  Now it's back to the show.  Have a great New Year.

November 8, 2001

Here we are in Detroit.  What a beautiful theatre to be playing.  The Masonic Temple.  It is exciting to get to see all the amazing theatres across the country.  But I still think my favorite is the Fox in Atlanta, GA.  They have a cloud machine that sends clouds across the blue dome ceiling of the theatre during the performance.  It's quite a sight to see.  Our cast is preparing to do a benefit for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids here in Detroit.  The benefit will take place on November 12th.  I don't have the info in front of me, but I'll update it tonight.  The tickets are $25.  It's going to be a great show.  Hope you can make it.  Look for photos and such to come.

October 19, 2001

It's been a long time since my last entry here.  So much has happened.  September 11th, some cast changes.  Its been a wild time.  The show is going well though.  It's nice to be back in the states.  Although Toronto was beautiful, it was very difficult to be out of the country.  Worrying about our loved ones back home.  Now we are in Indianapolis and the audiences have been amazing.   That's all for now.

September 3, 2001

So, we just left Dallas and now we are in Toronto.  There was a lot of fun stuff going on.  A lot of the cast sky dived which was very exciting.  I didn't sky dive.  I would love to, but I'm going to wait till the contract is over to do it.  The Theatre treated us wonderfully.  We had different catered meals from local restaurants between shows on the weekends and the most amazing cake.  It was the 2001 odyssey disco.  It was amazing.  Also, Michael Jenkins the president of Dallas Summer Musicals was especially nice.  He gave us all a beautiful Tiffany key chain.  The only problem with Dallas is the actor's stay downtown and there is NOTHING THERE.  So, that made things difficult, but the audience were wonderful and that's what its all about.

"AND THE WINNER IS..." Me.  What?  Yes.  I won a Po'okela award for playing Billy in "Carousel" at the Diamondhead Theatre on Oahu.  The Po'okela is a Hawaiian theatre award.   I am so proud of receiving an award for what was such an amazing experience.  Everyone made my time there so wonderful and I look forward to being able to return.  So thank you to everyone involved.  Right now, I'm in San Diego and we open tonight.  I'm sure it will be great.   I'm looking forward to yet another new audience.  Two friends of mine will be in the audience tonight.  Andy & Matt.  Hope they have fun.  New stuff on the website under old headshots there is a morph that's kinda fun.  Take a look.

July 16, 2001

We're out of Portland.  Looking forward to a week off in New York with my honey, Tara.  Then off to San Diego.  Not much news to report.  So long for now.

July 12, 2001

Well, my headshot voting is up and running.  Take a look at my pictures and let me know what you think.  I'm in Portland right now, but next week I'll be in New York with my wonderful girlfriend.  I'm very happy.  Well, that's all for now.

July 4, 2001

Happy 4th.  I'm in Costa Mesa and the audiences have been amazing.  It's been a pretty eventful few days.  I had a little accident on Monday the 2nd.  I got tripped exiting the stage and twisted my ankle.  There's quite a long way to fall when you are wearing 4" platform shoes!  But thanks to our amazing physical Therapist Dori, I'm doing fine and didn't miss any shows.  Thank you Dori!  I also had a photo shoot for some new headshots with John Gannun, a photographer in Los Angeles.  I'm going to try to put them on the site and get everyone to vote for their favorite.  We'll see if I can that to work.  So, come back and check.  You can help me decide which headshot to use.

June 5, 2001

I'm in Los Angeles.  Sorry for the lack of updates, been very busy.  I've been enjoying myself here in L.A.   Right now I'm sitting outside at a coffee shop updating this page on my laptop.  Pretty cool huh?  Spent the day off with some of the other Fever folks at Six Flags Magic Mountain.  I highly recommend the Superman ride.   It was amazing!!!  Anyway hope you are all well.  More as it comes in.

May 8, 2001

Now in Minneapolis.  Very beautiful here, but we have a wild and hectic schedule.  After we open on Wednesday night then we jam seven more shows between Thursday and Sunday.  Whew.  But, them we have 2 weeks off where I'll get to relax in New York.  One of the big draws here is the Mall of America.  We all visited today and spend a fortune between us I'm sure.  That's all for now, thanks for visiting.

April 26, 2001

Still here in San Francisco.  Last night, we had both a bachelor & bachelorette party.  Jon Spinogatti is getting married to Nicole on Monday.  So, the girls took out Nicole and the guys took out Jon.  I can't speak for the girls, but us guys had a great time.  We went to a jazz club called Pearls and listen to a trio.  There were a group of performers there from Norwegian Cruise Lines Show called Hey Mr. Producer and a couple of them got up to sing with the Jazz trio.  We couldn't let Saturday Night Fever go unrepresented so I got up and sang Since I Fell for You.  We finished the night with some darts & Nintendo games.

Also, we finally have a Saturday Night Fever tour site.  Fever on Tour.

April 15, 2001

I'm back in the show.  Yeeehaaaaaw.  It feels so good to be back.  I missed it so much.  The San Francisco audiences have been great.   So, it was nice to come back to that.  I'm also going to be doing my first bit of publicity for the show.  I'll be doing an interview for a show called Evening Magazine.  I'll be taping on Friday the 20th, but I don't know when it will air.  But I'll let you know.

April 10, 2001

Well, here I am in San Francisco.  So nice to be in warm weather.  I neglected to make an entry for Seattle.  We only spent a week there, but the audiences were amazing.  Standing at the end of every show.  Just wonderful.  The bad part about Seattle is that I missed my final performance because I lost my voice.  I'm trying to get it back and hoping to be able to open San Fran.  I'll keep you posted.  Our first performance is tomorrow and our official opening is Thursday.  Thanks for checking in.

March 25, 2001

We are leaving Chicago...  It's been an amazing experience.  Everyone in Chicago has been great.  I can only hope every other city enjoys the show as much as people seem to have enjoyed here.  Next stop is Seattle.  Then to San Fran.  We've also had some changes in schedule so make sure you check in.  Also, thanks to everyone who has sent me email and signed my guestbook.

March 7, 2001

Well, those of you who saw my Baywatch Hawaii episode and thought "What happened?"  You weren't alone.  My scene where I actually spoke was cut.  Oh well, that's life.  But SNF is going well.  We open in Chicago tomorrow night.  Wish us well.  For those of you who can't get to see the show click here to see what I am looking like these days.

February 24, 2001

Just found out some news about my episode of Baywatch Hawaii.  It is airing on Sunday, March 4 at 6:00 pm in New York on WWOR (9).  It will rebroadcast on the Monday the 12th at Midnight.  I dont' know if that is the midnight that is after 11:59pm Sunday or 11:59pm Monday you'll just have to check.  The name of the episode is My Father the Hero and I'm only in the first 1/3 of the show.  Hope you get a chance to see it.

February 17, 2001

It's getting close.  I leave for Chicago on February 25th.  I can't believe its almost here.  I've known about this job since the middle of December and now its here.   More news as I get it.

February 6, 2001

It's been a little crazy.  I started rehearsals for the Saturday Night Fever Tour and it's going great.  Everyone involved is really nice and talented.  Great company.  Its gonna be a fun tour.  There are some updates to the tour schedule.   I'll try to keep you informed.

January 10, 2001

Happy New Year!!! I hope everyone had a great holiday.  As you can see I finally got around to redoing the opening.  In doing that, I also redid the layout.  In doing that however, I ended up losing the guestbook.  So, to everyone who added comments...Thanks and Sorry.

December 27, 2000

OK... When it rains it pours...  I finish up with I Love You... and I start rehearsals the very next day for Saturday Night Fever in the role of Monty.  Monty is the wild DJ which was originated by Bryan Batt on Broadway.  Also, I will be doing double duty for the month of January, because I'm doing a reading of a new musical Mandela which I have done before and its great.   So, I'm pretty busy till I leave... Click for my tentative schedule...

December 9, 2000

Just to keep you up to date on I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change...  I made my New York debut as Man#2.  It went very well, this New York cast is just so wonderful.  Also, I know some dates when I will be on...  Man#2: December 20th (2:30 pm & 8:00 pm), 21 (8:00 pm) and Man#1 22 (8:00 pm), 23 (2:00 pm & 8:00 pm).  Please stop by, its a funny show.

December 4, 2000

Never a dull moment...So, what did you do this weekend?  Me, oh I went to Boston with hours notice to play a role I've never played and only had 2 rehearsals for.

I got a call of Friday afternoon at about 3pm to go to Boston to play Man#2 in the Boston company of I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change.   Not only had I never performed the role of Man#2, the Boston theatre is different from New York, complete with different staging and a different Busy, Busy, Busy scene.  And to make it even more interesting, I wasn't alone.   Darrin Baker was also brought up to play man#1.  So there we were two strangers in the Boston company.

So, except for a moment where, during a blackout, I had no Idea where to go next and ended spinning in a circle on stage (Sometimes when I get nervous, I become Julie Andrews in the Sound of Music) the show basically went off without a hitch.  The cast and crew were all amazing.  Made us feel very much at home and helped up pull this off.  Thank you to them for all their amazing work.

November 17, 2000

I'm on!!!  I am?  How am I doing?  I'll be performing the role of Man #1 in I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change tonight (Friday).  Both shows Saturday and both shows Sunday.  Make it if you can.

November 3, 2000

Well I've been busy doing auditions trying to get another job and guess what, it worked.  I'm going into the New York cast of I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change until December 10th.  I'm standing by for the two guys and I'll let you know if I'm going to be on.

October 22, 2000

It's been a while since my last entry.  It took me a while to get my home computer set up to edit this web page.  Well, I'm very happy to be back from Hawaii.  It was an amazing experience.  Everyone was so nice.  I look forward to when I can go back.

News here.  I don't know when Baywatch will air, but I'll keep you all posted.  Not really any performance news to speak of.     More news as I get it...

September 29, 2000

It's official, I actually got a role on Baywatch.  I shoot on Monday & Tuesday October 2nd & 3rd.  I play the role of Leo.  I get into a surfing accident and slam my head on the reef.  My dialog scene is in the Hospital.  I'll let you know when I get more info.

September 27, 2000

Well, I am still here in Hawaii.   O'ahu to be exact.  Been having a wonderful time.  Everyone here has been so wonderful.  The weather has been amazing, 85 degrees everyday.  I've been auditioning for Baywatch while I've been here.  Nothing yet, but I've been in 2 times and I'm hoping I'll get a little role thrown my way.  Would be a nice finish to this whole thing.

Since my mom is the only one reading this... Bye Mom

I wonder if anyone will read this other than my mother? Oh well, I guess the biggest piece of news is the fact that I have a website. But then, you already know that. I'm currently working on getting some songs from shows I've done recorded. So that way you'll be able to listen to excerpts from shows I've done. You should see that happening pretty soon.

My friend Lennie Watts has released his CD, which I sang back up on.

I'll be out of town from September 1 through October 10, because I got the world's best job. I'm going to Hawaii to play Billy in Carousel at the Diamondhead Theatre.

Then, it looks like I'll be doing a little tour of Songs for a New World sometime in the beginning of 2001. My friend Kevin Duda is trying his hand at producing.

More news at it happens.
